Meet Our Senior Administration
Christopher MacPhee
CRPS' Superintendent of Schools Christopher MacPhee has been dedicated to education and learning for more than two decades, beginning as a teacher in the Yukon, then heading east to Newfoundland as an educational psychologist for the Labrador East Public and Roman Catholic School Board. Christopher later moved on to serve as an educational assessor/resource teacher in Cape Breton and later became a district principal with the Rocky Mountain School District in 2002. Before accepting his current position as CRPS' Superintendent of Schools, he held positions as assistant, deputy, and acting superintendent with Wild Rose Public Schools.
In his tenure as superintendent, Chris has demonstrated a high level of visionary leadership and entrepreneurial spirit, bringing many innovative programs to the division. He also served as president of the College of Alberta School Superintendents.
Originally from Cape Breton, Christopher was educated at Dalhousie University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree (marine biology), a Bachelor of Education degree (science major), as well as a Master of Education degree.

Debbie McKibbin
CRPS' Deputy Superintendent Debbie McKibbin brings 30+ years of educational experience with CRPS to her role. In her tenure, she has worked as a teacher, coordinator, assistant principal, and principal in a variety of schools. She also served as the Director of Learning and Innovation before moving into her current role.
Debbie has been actively involved in the visionary work of Inspiring Hearts and Minds since its inception in 2007 and has been instrumental in crafting CRPS’ vision and framework for instructional excellence and nurturing excellence in instruction and leadership.
Debbie has a Masters of Education, a Bachelor of Science degree, and a Bachelor of Education degree. She also holds a graduate certificate in labour relations and human resources from Queen’s University IRC. Modelling the attributes of a life-long learner, Debbie continues to build her leadership capacity by undertaking IRC certificates each year.

Steve Greene
CRPS' Assistant Superintendent of Learning, Technology and Facilities Steve Greene began his career with the division in 1996. Over the years, Steve has held several positions across the division, including education assistant, teacher, principal K-12, and Director of Learning, Technology and Facilities.
In his tenure, Steve has actively supported the division in many of its programming initiatives, including developing its vision, “Inspiring Hearts and Minds,” and frameworks for instructional excellence and nurturing excellence in instruction and leadership.
Steve holds a Masters in Educational Leadership, a Bachelor of Education from the University of Calgary, and a Kinesiology Degree with Honours from Brock University.

Konstantin Gregovic
CRPS' Secretary / Associate Superintendent Konstantin Gregovic has worked for CRPS since 2015, rising up through the ranks from controller to assistant secretary-treasurer to his new role, beginning August 2023. In his tenure, Konstantin has been instrumental in modernizing CRPS' financial processes helping to maximize cost efficiencies.
Prior to his arrival, Konstantin held several business, financial, controller, and project manager positions across industries and sectors, including transportation, oil and gas, construction, telecommunications, engineering, and municipal and provincial governments.
Konstantin is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce, specializing in Finance, and a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Economics, both from the University of Calgary.

Cheryl Jensen
CRPS' Treasurer / Associate Superintendent Cheryl Jensen joined CRPS in July 2023. A professional accountant with over 15 years of global and local experience in leading finance departments in the not-for-profit sector, Cheryl has a track record of transforming financial systems, processes, and instilling a financially literate culture at all levels of an organization.
Criss-crossing the globe, Cheryl has held finance roles in Switzerland, Vanuatu, Haiti, Indonesia, Maldives, Cayman Islands, and Alberta. She also has held positions with Deloitte, KPMG, and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Cheryl is a Certified Public Accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce Cooperative Education from the University of Alberta.

Mike Shoemaker
CRPS' Director of Learning Services Mike Shoemaker is a strong advocate of shared leadership, inclusion, professional learning, and forward-thinking instructional practices. Mike arrived in CRPS in 2007 as a learning support teacher at Canmore Collegiate High School and later as assistant principal at Banff Elementary School and Banff Community High School before moving into his current role.
Before he arrived in the division, Mike taught at Morley Community School and served as a department head at a high school in Ontario. Throughout his career, Mike has built a reputation for being an innovative leader and is respected across the division for building high-performing educational teams.
Mike holds a Master of Education specializing in Curriculum, Teaching, and Learning from the University of Calgary, a Bachelor of Education from Western University, and a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours from McMaster University.
