Professional Learning Networks

Professional Learning Networks engage teachers in collaboration within a connected community to improve practice in company of their peers.These structures provide the dedicated time, structure, choice, flexibility and ongoing collegial support needed to bring our Teacher Growth Plans and Shared Vision of Instructional Excellence to life. This collaborative time is built into our Professional Learning Calendar on half-day Fridays. Our annual 2016-2017 teacher survey indicated that we highly value this time to continuously improve our practice. When asked to rate the effectiveness of our PLN time in terms of moving our practice forward, 82% felt it was either effective or very effective:
